VINTAGE 1974 SICURA MARINE-STAR AUTOMATIC DAY-DATE CALENDAR DIVERS WATCH WITH TRITIUM DIAL
Vintage 1974 Sicura ‘marine-star’ automatic day-date calendar divers watch with tritium dial.
This very cool gentlemen’s divers watch was manufactured around 1974 and is in super condition. The movement used is the Sicura ’ronda-matic’ 1239 with quick-set date change and looks to be in excellent condition.
The beautiful blue dial is in exceptional condition with absolutely no flaws what-so-ever. Highly luminous ’tritium’ is used for the hour markers, which still glows brightly almost 50 years later ! the hands are the original arrow-head tritium luminous filled items.
The large chrome plated case with crown-gaurd measures 39mm across the bezel, not including the crown 47mm tip-to-tip. The case is in very, nice condition with minimal wear to the chrome plating, which is very unusual with these watches. The rotating bezel is also in fine condition, with none of the usual wear around the edge as is usual. The screw down back with sea-horse logo is stainless-steel and also in excellent condition with no marks, gauges or scratches. Fitted with a new nylon webbing ’nato’ type strap.
