VINTAGE 1970 OMEGA DE VILLE 9KT GOLD TV-SCREEN AUTOMATIC CALENDAR WATCH IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION

Vintage 1970 Omega De-Ville 9kt gold ‘tv-screen’ automatic calendar watch in beautiful condition.

This wonderful gentlemen’s Omega was manufactured in 1970 and is in superb original order. The model 162.5045 De-Ville was the new ’slim’ version of the Seamaster, using a tonneau-form two-piece case with a ’tv-screen’ type glass and dial.

The movement used is the Omega calibre 1002 automatic, with quick-set date change and hacking seconds for highly accurate time setting. The example that we have here is in beautiful condition, i have rarely seen an omega movement as clean as this one, which is testament to the wonderful case design that has protected it perfectly over the years.

The solid 9kt gold case measures 33mm across the bezel, not including the crown and 39mm tip-to-tip. Fully hallmarked inside the back with London hallmarks for 1970 and with model number 1625045. the case is in very, very nice condition and still retains the original brushed satin finish with polished edges and no noticeable wear, dings or scratches.

The brushed silvered dial is absolutely beautiful, with contrasting gold baton markers and hands. Signed simply ‘Omega Automatic – Deville’ with ‘Swiss Made below 6.

The glass is the original, with the tiny Omega symbol in the centre. You will notice also the original winding crown with Omega symbol. Solid gold Omega’s are becoming harder to find and this ’tv-screen’ example is a fine example.
