VINTAGE 1969 ULYSSE NARDIN JUBILE 4000 OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED CHRONOMETER AUTOMATIC WITH ORIGINAL BRACELET
Vintage 1969 Ulysse Nardin ’Jubile 4000’ officially certified chronometer automatic with original bracelet.
This is a very rare Ulysse Nardin wristwatch manufactured in 1969 to commemorate the 4,000th. chronometer certificate awarded to the company. A water-proof automatic with calendar, these were produced to compete directly with the Rolex Datejust and Omega Constellation watches of the same era.
This example is in beautiful original condition, the stainless-steel case measuring 34mm across the bezel not including the crown and 43mm tip-to-tip.
The movement is the calibre n74, self-winding with a 360 degree rotor and calendar. This example is a very rare ‘officially certified chronometer’ movement with individual serial number.
Not many of these were chronometer graded, only the ones marked as such on the dial were chronometers, most are not. This particular movement looks to be in ‘as-new‘ condition, having had very little use seemingly.
The original silvered dial is in absolutely superb condition, with applied dagger divisions, date window surround and luminous filled dauphine hands.
The case is in very nice condition, with no dings or serious scratches. The case back screws down and unscrews perfectly as it should. Beautifully stamped with the Ulysse Nardin logo and their water-proof trade-mark ‘jumping fish’ design. The crown is the original, signed Ulysse Nardin. complete with it’s original stainless bracelet of wonderful quality with a folding deployant clasp, also signed Ulysse Nardin. The bracelet will fit up to a seven inch wrist.
This is the best example that we have ever seen, a beautiful and rare time-piece from one of the worlds most prestigious manufacturers.
