VINTAGE 1969 OMEGA AUTOMATIC ‘GENEVE’ CALENDAR WATCH WITH CALIBRE 565 MOVEMENT

Vintage 1969 Omega automatic ‘Geneve’ calendar watch with calibre 565 movement.

This super vintage Omega was manufactured in 1969, confirmed by it’s individual movement number 30375748. The ‘Geneve’ range by Omega was considered to be the basic line of Omega’s at the time, however they all used exactly the same ultra-high quality movements as the more expensive Constellations and Seamasters.

This particular example houses the calibre 565 automatic with calendar and the one we see here is in pristine condition and must be one of the finest calibre 565’s that we have come across.

A very handsome watch, the water-proof gold plated case measures 35mm across the bezel, not including the crown and 41mm tip-to-tip.

The exceptional original silvered dial with contrasting polished gold baton divisions, marked simply ’Omega-Automatic’ with ’Geneve – Swiss Made’ below. The luminous filled polished gold hands also contrast the dial perfectly.

The original winding crown with the’ Omega’ symbol to the centre is still present and the glass is the original with the tiny Omega symbol. The watch is in very fine condition throughout, with just a few light scratches to the back from mild use over the years. Fitted with a new fine quality crocodile-grain strap, this would be an ideal starter Omega for your collection.
