VINTAGE 1969 BREITLING BREITLING NAVITIMER 1806 CHRONOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH WATCH CALIBRE 11

Vintage 1969 Breitling Navitimer 1806 chronomatic chronograph watch calibre 11, beautiful & original. This stupendous vintage Breitling was manufactured in 1969 as denoted by it’s individual serial number 1,325202.

This is the automatic ’chronomatic’ version of the navitimer, using the rare calibre 11 movement.

This example is in very, very nice original condition, not polished or restored in any way. This is a very large watch, measuring almost 48.5mm across the bezel (not including the crown) and 48.5mm tip to tip.

Manufactured with an all stainless-steel water-proof case with screw back, pump-pushers and of course winding crown on the left as are all calibre 11’s.

The original black dial is in superb condition, as are the hands, all still with a slight glow from the tritium lume. Any fine scratches or hazing that you see in the photo’s are on the glass and not the dial. the slide-rule bezel is in first-class condition, with no visible wear what-so-ever which is rare to find.

The watch retails the original glass and winding crown also.

The automatic movement with calendar is in excellent condition still, winding and setting as it should. The chronograph centre seconds hand starting promptly and snapping back sharply as it should.

The pump-pushers and the ‘big-crown’ are the originals. The screw back screws down and unscrews nicely as it should and there are no unsightly scratches or gouges where it has been opened by amateurs in the past.

A little rubbing and some light scratches are evident, but all of the stamping and engraving is still perfectly legible.

This is the early version of the chronomatic with patent number dde.br11525./67, the later examples using the calibre 12 movement.

The watch looks absolutely stunning on the wrist and has real presence, a rare vintage Breitling in choice condition.
