VINTAGE 1968 OMEGA CONSTELLATION AUTOMATIC DAY-DATE CALENDAR WATCH ORIGINAL BRACELET BOX & BOOKLET

This fabulous gentlemen’s Omega was manufactured in 1968 and was the pinnacle of Omega’s Constellation range at that time.

The model 168.017 Constellation calendar uses the Omega calibre 564 automatic chronometer movement with rapid date-change. The movement that we have here is in ‘as-new’ condition, the movement is as clean as when it left the factory in 1968.

The steel case measures 35mm across the bezel, not including the crown and 41mm tip-to-tip. The stainless-steel ‘c’ shape case is in exceptional original condition, with no dings or serious scratches and the bezel is also absolutely perfect with no wear what-so-ever. Still retains the original polished / brushed satin finish.

The original silvered ’linen’ dial is in exceptional condition, with contrasting polished silver baton divisions and black inserts. The polished silver stick hands are also in perfect condition, still retaining their original black filling.

The original crown is still present and in perfect condition with no wear and the glass is the original with the tiny omega symbol to the centre. The watch works faultlessly, winding and setting as it should, not surprising as the calibre 564 movement is one of the finest of it’s day.

These ’c’ case Constellations always look much better on a bracelet and this example retains it’s original ‘brick-link’ folding clasp example which is rare to find.

Complete with the original Omega box, wallet and owners manual, making it close to a full-set.

The watch looks superb on the wrist, an exceptional example of the now very collectable ‘c’ case constellation.
