Vintage 1968 9kt gold Omega Deville calendar watch with linen dial & original strap buckle.

This fabulous gentlemen’s Omega is in amazingly original condition & virtually ’as-new’. manufactured in 1968 by the serial number on the movement 27041367, the model 1365010 de-ville was the new ’slim’ version of Omega‘s water-proof line of watches, using a two-piece case with no removable back. The movement is accessed through the front of the watch once the bezel and glass has been removed. Very ingenious at that time, these new cases were exceptionally well made and the movements within are usually found in perfect condition.

Using the omega calibre 613 hand-wound movement with calendar, the example that we have here is in exceptional original condition, which is testament to the wonderful case design which has protected it perfectly over the years.

The 9kt gold case case measures 34mm across the bezel, not including the crown and 38.5mm tip-to-tip. The case and bezel are in beautiful original condition with no wear, dings or scratches what-so-ever, just a little light rubbing to the back from gentle use over the years.

The original linen-texture champagne dial is absolutely beautiful, with contrasting gold baton markers and hands. Signed simply ‘Omega – Deville’ with ‘Swiss made below 6.

The watch still retains the original Omega gold-plated buckle, though the original leather part was perished and we have fitted a new leather one.

The deville range of vintage Omega’s have seen a huge surge in popularity with collectors over the past few years, due in no small part to the high quality of the original design.

This is definitely one of the best condition solid gold deville’s that you are likely to find.
