VINTAGE 1967 OMEGA CONSTELLATION CALENDAR WATCH FULL SET BOX & PAPERS
Vintage 1967 Omega Constellation calendar watch full set box & papers.
This super Omega Constellation model 168.005 was manufactured in 1967 and retailed by the Lincoln jeweller ‘W. Mansell’.
The gold-capped case has the desirable ‘dog-leg’ strap lugs, which are still in perfect condition with nice sharp edges to the shoulders. Measuring 34mm across the bezel, not including the crown and 42.5mm tip-to-tip.
The calibre 561 automatic chronometer movement is in excellent condition, one of the best that we have seen in several years and working perfectly.
The silvered ’crosshair’ dial has a pleasing patina of age where the laquer has just started yellow. We have had many similar Omega’s and in a few years the whole dial will have become a beautiful golden colour. The gold battons, date window and hands are in perfect original condition.
Though the watch has obviously been used regularly, the owner was clearly very careful when wearing as there are no dings or scratches of any kind. There is no loss or wear to the gold capping and the case / bezel still have nice sharp edges to the shoulders etc.
This ‘full-set’ omega is complete with both inner and outer boxes, guarantee booklet, chronometer certificate and it’s envelope, original bill of sale from Mansell’s, service receipts etc.
The photographs do not do this beautiful watch the justice that it deserves and i would encourage potential purchasers to come and view it in person.
