VINTAGE 1963 18KT PINK GOLD OMEGA SEAMASTER DEVILLE AUTOMATIC CALENDAR WATCH BLACK DIAL ORIGINAL STRAP BUCKLE & BOX.

This superb gentlemen’s Omega is in absolutely beautiful condition & a rare watch.

Cased by Omega’s case-maker in France in 18kt pink (rose) gold, the only pink gold Seamster Deville’s were the French-cased ones so this is a rarity.

Manufactured in 1973 by the serial number on the movement. The model 166.3020 Seamaster De-Ville was the new ’slim’ version of Omega‘s water-proof line of watches, using a two-piece case with no removable back.

The movement is accessed through the front of the watch once the bezel and glass has been removed. Very ingenious at that time, these new cases were exceptionally well made and the movements within are usually found in perfect condition.

Using the Omega calibre 562 automatic movement with calendar, the example that we have here is in exceptional original condition, which is testament to the wonderful case design which has protected the movement perfectly over the years.

The 18kt gold case case measures 34.5mm across the bezel not including the crown and 41mm tip-to-tip. The case and bezel are in beautiful original condition with no wear, dings or scratches what-so-ever, just a little light rubbing to the back from gentle use over the years. The Seamaster medallion has a tiny French 18kt ‘eagles-head’ hallmark to the centre and there is a similar subsidiary mark on the side of one case lug.

The glossy black dial with contrasting gold baton markers and hands is in very nice condition indeed, with some minor blemishes which do not detract from it’s beauty. Signed simply ‘Omega Automatic – Seamaster Deville’ with ‘Swiss Made below 6.

The original ‘split-stem’ winding crown is still present and in excellent order. The watch still retains the original presentation box & pink gold plated Omega buckle, though the original leather part was perished so we have fitted a new leather one.

The Deville range of vintage omega’s have seen a huge surge in popularity with collectors over the past few years, due in no small part to the high quality of the original design.

This is one is a rare beast, which looks wonderful on the wrist & is also one of the best condition solid gold Seamaster Deville’s that you are likely to find.
