VINTAGE 1960’s 9KT GOLD BULOVA ACCUTRON CALENDAR EARLY ELECTRONIC TUNING-FORK MOVEMENT
9kt Gold 1960’s Bulova ‘Accutron’ calendar. This is one of the very first electronic wrist-watches. Manufactured in the late 1960’s, the ‘Accutron’ used an ingenious ‘tuning-fork’ type electronic movement, with its characteristic ’hum’.
The water-proof case is all 9kt Gold and is in very fine condition still.
Measures 35mm across the bezel, not including the crown and 40mm tip-to-tip.
The original crown is still presant, with the ’Accutron’ logo in the centre.
The beautiful original gold dial and hands compliment the case very nicely.
The movement is in absolutely ‘as-new’ condition and working perfectly, this example having the extra calendar function which is quite rare to see.
100% original in every respect, though fitted with a new quality croco-grain strap.
