VINTAGE 1948 18KT PINK GOLD LONGINES WATCH MADE FOR THE RUSSIAN MARKET
Vintage 1948 18kt pink gold Longines watch made for the Russian market.
This fabulous vintage Longines was manufactured in 1948, confirmed by it’s individual movement number 7757818 and destined for the lucrative Russian market.
The finest quality hand-wound calibre 12.68z was housed in this particular example. A very handsome watch, the exceptional 18kt pink gold case measures 35mm across the bezel, not including the crown and 40.5mm tip-to-tip.
The silvered dial is typical of the style being produced in this period for the Russian market. Matt brushed finish with simple black breguet figures and subsidiary seconds.
The case back has Russian 18kt gold hallmarks and is free from scratches or signs of being opened by amateurs. The original pink gold plated winding crown is still present and the glass appears to be the original.
The watch is in very fine condition throughout and looks superb on the wrist. Fitted with a new fine quality crocodile-grain strap.
