1990’s Lucien Rochat ‘royal-air gmt’ triple calendar moon phase automatic chronograph

1990’s Lucien Rochat ‘royal-air gmt’ triple calendar moonphase automatic chronograph with Valjoux 7751 movement.

Lucien Rochat is a small swiss manufacturer, who’s family have been making complicated time-pieces for over two hundred years.

This unusual model was manufactured during the 1990’s and can only be described as having ‘all the bells and whistles’.

The very large Stainless-steel and 18kt gold case measures 42mm across the bezel, not including the crown and 45.5mm tip to tip. The uni-directional divers type bezel has sixty second divisions along with 18kt gold 5 second markers and accents.

Wonderful black dial with contrasting gold accents. Triple calendar with day and month windows along with pointer-hand date hand. 24 hour ‘gmt’ subsidiary dial and moonphase window make this one of the most complicated movements that Valjoux have ever produced, the calibre 7751. This automatic chronograph will run for over twenty four hours on a full wind and is in very fine condition, having had little use from new.

Fitted with a new quality alligator-grain strap and retaining the original ‘Lucien Rochat ‘buckle.

Looks fabulous on the wrist and has real presence, this really is a great buy.

This watch is displayed in our Hungerford store in the Hungerford Arcade Antiques Center.
