1968 Breitling ‘Cadette’ chronograph watch reference 1198 excellent original condition.
This pretty gentlemen’s Breitling is a very cool wristwatch. The serial number on the back indicates that it was manufactured in 1968, which was a great period for Breitling, producing some of the brands most beautiful designs.
The case is in very, very nice un-polished condition, measuring 35.5mm across the bezel, not including the crown and 43mm tip-to-tip.
The beautiful original silvered ‘sunburst’ dial with blue telemeter scale is superb. Signed simply ‘Breitling Cadette’ with ‘’Swiss-Made’ under the six.
The original luminous filled hands and polished baton markers compliment the dial perfectly.
The Valjoux 7730 movement is in visibly extra-fine condition, with no rust or signs of earlier repair.
The snap on case back snaps closed very firmly as it should and is stamped Breitling 1155 and serial numbered 1221541.
This watch is very slim for a chronograph and a joy to wear, fitting very close to the wrist and not bulky at all. The watch looks stunning on the wrist and is a fine and collectable Breitling from the golden age of watchmaking.
