1960’S ‘TIDEMASTER’ STAINLESS-STEEL DIVERS WRISTWATCH

This is a very unusual watch, the dial marked ‘Tidemaster-Atomatic’

All stainless-steel cased ,not the usual chrome as these types of watches usually are  , measuring 36mm diameter not including the crown and 44.5mm tip to tip.

Very unusual bezel marked for the changing tides. ‘High Water’ ‘Low Water’ ‘EBB’ and ‘Flood’ all appear with directional arrows.

I believe that the lower half of the bezel was originally grey in colour, which has now faded almost to silver.

It is not word as they usually are ,it has just faded over the years.

The movement is an automatic with calendar ,is in good order and running well.

Substantial case with down-turned lugs so that the strap fits close to the wrist.

The wonderful original matt black dial is in first class condition still, as are the luminous filled hands.

Fitted with a correct period rubber diving type strap, this watch looks very handsome on the wrist.

A fine 100% original condition divers wristwatch in an unusual design.
