1960’s STAINLESS-STEEL ‘PIROFA’ LANDERON 189 CHRONOGRAPH WITH CALENDAR

1960’s stainless-steel ‘Pirofa’ ‘Landeron 189’ chronograph with calendar.

This all stainless-steel chronograph is a little unusual.

Using the not often seen ‘Landeron 189’ calendar movement, the date window is at the top of the dial below 12. Very unusual and really makes the dial stand out.

All stainless-steel waterproof case in fine, unpolished restoration free condition.

The silvered dial with two-tone red and blue printed tachymeter and tachometer scales, luminous dagger hands and dot markers. Signed simply ‘Pirofa – 17 jewels – incabloc’.

Measuring 38mm across the bezel, not including the crown the watch is good large size.

The hand wound movement working nicely, winding and setting correctly. The chronograph hand starting and snapping back to zero promptly as it should.

A lovely 60’s chronograph with a difference, this would make a great starter watch for a new collector, or possibly your first chronograph ? £495
