1950‘s OVERSIZE SIGDIN ALL STAINLESS STEEL CHRONOGRAPH IN FINE ORIGINAL CONDITION
Vintage 1950‘s oversize ‘Sigdin’ all stainless-steel chronograph in fine original condition.
This very handsome gentlemen’s chronograph was manufactured during the mid 1950’s and is in very close to ‘new-old-stock condition. The large, oversize case measures 37.5mm across the bezel, not including the crown and 46mm tip to tip.
The watch has never been polished, retaining the original brushed satin / polished finish. The strap lugs with chamfered shoulders still have nice sharp edges. The original winding crown and pushers are still in great condition.
The silvered dial is really very nice indeed. Two colour blue and black printed with outer telemetre and tachometre scales. Complimented perfectly by gold 12 and 6, baton divisions and sword hands.
The Landeron calibre 48 movement with 30 minute recorder is of very nice quality, does not disappoint and is finished to a good standard. Winds and sets correctly and the chronograph operates properly as it should.
The watch is in fine original original condition throughout, very difficult to find like this. a large and handsome chronograph on the wrist, fitted with a new, quality croco-grain strap.
